Uganda’s Finest Art and Fashion Personalities
Uganda fashion personalities represent the beating heart of the nation’s vibrant creative economy. Uganda’s art and fashion industry has evolved into a dynamic space for innovation, cultural storytelling, and global inspiration. This sector, powered by young designers and artisans, is now a cornerstone for multiple industries including tourism, entertainment, education, and media.
The industry, however, has faced its share of challenges. The COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 disrupted artistic livelihoods and halted tourism, which many artisans relied upon for income. Craft villages fell silent, and designers struggled to access materials or sell their work. But out of this difficult season emerged resilience and renewed creativity, fueling initiatives that have since reignited Uganda’s creative flame.
The 120 Afri Art and Fashion Personalities Project
The Afri Art and Fashion Show introduced an ambitious initiative known as the “120 Afri Art and Fashion Personalities” project. This program profiles Uganda’s most promising and influential creatives in both art and fashion. It seeks to celebrate their unique styles, innovations, and cultural expressions.
Running as a build-up to the main Afri Art and Fashion Show on August 23, 2025, this project provides an opportunity for designers, artists, and stylists to share their stories and connect with international audiences. Participants will feature across media platforms, exhibitions, and print publications, positioning them for both local recognition and global exposure.

How the Profiling Works
The profiling process has been designed to highlight both professionalism and creativity. Participants will take part in an online interview that can be either written or recorded. They will be required to submit high-quality professional photographs suitable for publication and social media promotion.
Each selected creative will be featured on the Afri Art and Fashion Show’s website and social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn. Their profiles will also appear in FAB L’Style Magazine, a global publication focused on fashion, beauty, and art. Additionally, participants will gain the opportunity to exhibit their products during the Afri Art and Fashion Show Week—three days of showcases, networking, and creative exchange.
