DFCU Bank has partnered with Japanese auto dealership World Navi Company Ltd. to launch a new, affordable vehicle financing solution designed to make car ownership more accessible across Uganda.

The initiative was officially unveiled at DFCU Bank’s headquarters in Nakasero on May 16, 2025, offering tailored financing for individuals, entrepreneurs, and businesses under the bank’s Corporate & Investment Banking, Commercial, Enterprise, and Personal Banking segments.

“We want to make vehicle ownership a reality for all Ugandans,” said Mathias Jumba, Head of Integrated Channels at DFCU Bank. “Whether you’re a professional, small business owner, or a family, our new solution is designed with your financial needs in mind.”

Reliable Vehicles, Transparent Process

Yoshifumi Sawada, President of World Navi, emphasized that customers will no longer face the common risks of online car purchases. “We’ve seen too many cases where imported cars arrive damaged or different from what was ordered. With World Navi, every vehicle undergoes thorough diagnostics in Japan to guarantee mechanical reliability,” he said.

Flexible Financing Options

Gloria Ssuuna Namutebi, Senior Manager for Vehicle & Asset Finance at DFCU, explained that the product is designed to support both personal and commercial vehicle acquisition, with full financing and leasing options available.

Key features include:

  • Interest rates starting at 17% per annum
  • Flexible repayment periods:
    • Up to 7 years for brand-new vehicles
    • Up to 5 years for reconditioned units
    • Up to 4 years for cars aged between 6–15 years
  • Three-month engine and transmission warranty from World Navi
  • Comprehensive insurance starting from 2.8%

This structure aims to reflect Uganda’s economic realities and vehicle market conditions, giving customers long-term value and peace of mind.

Nationwide Access Starting May 15

From May 15, 2025, eligible customers can apply for financing at any DFCU branch or through authorized DFCU agents. The initiative aligns with DFCU’s broader mission to support economic transformation through inclusive and sustainable financial solutions.

“Our role is to help clients acquire valuable assets. This partnership with World Navi enables us to provide reliable, quality vehicles with terms that work for the everyday Ugandan,” added Namutebi.

Driving Economic Empowerment

The DFCU–World Navi partnership is seen as a strategic move to empower Ugandans through enhanced mobility. By easing access to financing and ensuring vehicle quality, the initiative is set to boost personal and business productivity, contributing to national economic growth.

With more Ugandans gaining access to dependable transport, DFCU Bank continues to prove its commitment to transforming lives and businesses—one vehicle at a time.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pri_N-e6TB0
