Tributes Flow as Funeral Plans Unveiled for Late Bobby Kabonero

Kampala, Uganda – The funeral program for Robert ‘Bobby’ Kabonero, the 24-year-old intern at Uganda’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs who passed away on May 9, has been officially announced. The young professional was described by family and colleagues as a brilliant, humble, and promising individual whose sudden passing has deeply saddened the nation.

Bobby died after a prolonged illness and three months of hospitalization in Nairobi, Kenya.

Funeral and Burial Schedule

The Kabonero family released the following program to honor Bobby’s life:

  • Monday, May 12 – Vigil at the family residence, Plot 17 Prince Charles Drive, Kololo, starting at 5:00 PM
  • Tuesday, May 13 – Funeral service at All Saints Cathedral, Nakasero, beginning at 9:00 AM
  • Wednesday, May 14 – Vigil in Ibaare, Ntungamo District
  • Thursday, May 15 – Burial service in Ntungamo at 12:00 noon
